Biography

Sylke Uhlig is a digital artist, photographer and painter living and working in Herne, Germany. She studied at Ruhr-University Bochum and holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing and Social Psychology. She had been working as a professional product manager for 16 years. Sylke greatly enjoys design and communication subjects as well as using a camera whenever possible.

With a background of travelling six continents as well as living and working in the US and Namibia her artwork is greatly influenced by the nature, culture and colours of the South Pacific and Japan. Sylke’s art is aiming at showing well known perspectives in an exceptional way to incite the observer to reassess and look anew.

After years of simply selfpublishing her photographic work she decided to fully embrace her artistic skills. In 2015 she started to study Art History in distance learning. She became an EPSON Digigraphie Artist in 2016 and was invited to serveral exhibitions ever since.
