My name is Sergio Cano Hernández I am 26 years old Spanish living in London since 2014.
After my studies in Fashion Marketing & Communication, I decided to move to London to earn some experience.
I did two internships in fashion doing communication, graphics and illustration.
I started doing paper collages with old fashion magazines and I loved it. Since then, I couldn't stop making collages, not just paper but digital as well.
Last year I finished my master in Communication Design in Illustration at Kingston University. During the course, I had the chance to improve myself as a collage maker and had the opportunity to try different technics like digital drawing.
Now I define myself as an artist trying to own a path as a collage artist and illustrator.
My work aims to inspire, delight and surprise. While at first glance my work is energetic and vibrating, viewers will also begin to awake to the dark undertones in the details engulfing the artwork.
My work is mostly inspired by fashion, dark surrealism and glitch art. My aesthetics are a combination of trends and contrasts using neon colours with soft colours.
Amongst all the details, my work aims to represent a new canon of beauty where doesn't exist gender or perfection.
Most of my work is digital collages, but for the exhibition, I want to combine different elements and mixed media to elevate the artwork itself.
