Project

My paintings for this collection are all about freedom of self. Freeing oneself of your own demons and the restraints of the society. The internal battle within ourself and the external pressures of the world. I have painted my canvas black which for any artist is a very bold and risky colour, or non colour to use, but it is very important for my project, as it represents the darkness of the world that we live in. Whereas the form is filled with beautiful colours, for I believe in the goodness of mankind and I believe that everyone wants to be the best version of themselves once they have successfully fought all their battles. My figures are all wrapped in cloth and are on a journey to loosen themselves up and free themselves eventually, and then spread the beauty of their colour into that darkness which is that black colour. Once free the journey of the freedom of the soul begins which will take you to my next collection....
