I am a self-taught multi-disciplinary artist, art therapist and art teacher based in South London.
I have been experimenting with painting, drawing, ceramic, textile and photography since 1993 while still living in Italy, where I was born and raised.
My art has been exhibited in India, Italy, at Ashburton Hall, Southwark libraries as part of a year-long Arts Council funded arts project with a Somali Refugee Charity.
I am also a yoga teacher and in my art I draw on my training in Yoga and Eco-Therapy as well as my academic background in linguistics, literature, philosophy and education. I have delivered art therapy to vulnerable children and adults in India, Cambodia, Laos and UK.
As an artist, I explore the connection between human consciousness and Nature.
For the past three years I have painted nature in a series of abstract paintings depicting states of consciousness resulting from this connection as well as the elements, the seasons, flowers, and more.
I am now moving beyond this, deepening my exploration of plant consciousness. Using a revolutionary device that translates the impulses from plants' leaves and roots into music via electrodes, I will intensify my exploration of nature by way of innovative inter-species collaboration involving plant music.
This will inform a series of channelled paintings that will be presented with accompanying soundscape.
