Biography

If I could’ve been a flower I would’ve been one. Surrounded by my friends in a green heaven, I’d grow till I blossomed.
What if we were all different flowers?
There’s always been art, an escape, a solution, to express oneself, in a different way, screaming without even saying a word. Art, dreams, colors.
Have you ever seen a colorless flower?

I’ve traveled, around the world, I have fed on new encounters, fed my imagination, to be able to always create more, dream more. My relationship with my work is very intimate, each of them tells a story in their own way. Colors, lines, curves, they all communicate in their own way and lead to a message.
My work is a reflection of what inhabits my mind. Lines, sometimes tortured, sometimes gentle, sometimes candid.

The means are diverse, watercolor, acrylic, but also photography, I was step by step able to find the best escape to cure my ills or just express myself.
My work communicate with those who lay an eye on them, creating a link between the work, the one looking at it and the one who created it.
My goal is to bring everyone closer through my art. My work is engaged and I would like for it to spark questioning, dialogues, the exchange of ideas.
I get from my own mixity a rich cultural background, which granted me references and inspiration.
Having lived in Dakar for 17 years, then in Paris where I studied architecture and design, my journey is inherent to my creative process.
My work is a part of my universe, of my world and of the thoughts that fuel it.

Project

The Art Room project offers to redecorate a hotel room in order to display our work in line with our artistic will.
To begin with, I wanted to bind my artistic thinking to the room's true value.
This intimate space where we find rest, sleep and intimacy.
What would happenr if we made this cosy and private atmosphere accessible to third parties?
If we allowed others to immerse themselves into our secret garden, where we unwind and travel to dreamland ?
What would occur if we opened the door to our intimacy, our slumber and most importantly our dreams?

The Dream: series of psychic phenomenons (thoughts, images, sensations) occuring in one's mind during sleep.
My project is built on immersing the visitor in my room, in my dreams.
A dream in which each work displayed would represent a character that the visitor turned into a dreamer would come to encounter.
My creations, sometimes abstract sometimes figurative, difficult to grasp, will be interpreted in different ways by each individual. In light of our dreams that we do not always understand, but that inevitably make an impression on our minds.
Therefore there will be a connection between the work of art and the visitor immersed in this room, where he will dream with his eyes open and will be the master of his own experience.

The room's scenography will be meticulously thought through. The space will be lit dimly in order to embody night-time, when our dreams unfold the most. The paintings will be enlighten and will represent the characters that the dreamer will encounter during the experience. They will be highlighted.
All walls will be embellished with art that will also adorn furnishings, owing the space.
Only the bed, main piece of the room will be untouched. The latter will be dedicated to the visitor, the dreamer.

The bed symbolizes rest, it is an item without which a room wouldn't distinguish itself from any other space.
The dreamer will be able to sit, lie down on it and let his spirit into diversion, by looking at the different colors, shapes and curves on the paintings that will surround him.
My project is about allowing everyone the opportunity to experience something unique, based on feelings, and personal emotions.

My project is a reverence to poetry and daydream
A dream that would come to life.

What sensations would be felt? well being ? incomprehension? osmosis?
The dream's fate lies in the hands of the dream.
