Over many years I used to be a very analytical person. My background is physics and mathematics and I hold PhD. I have been working in IT industry for more than 15 years. At the same time if you look inside me you find very different person not really too much analytical but rather being very impressionable by nature. This combination creates quite interesting substratum. So basically 5 years ago I faced a moment when my emotional phase was just about to transform into dynamic flow of colors. I have been creating art works for more than 5 years already and have done over 200 paintings. Many of them have landed in private collections in Poland, UK, Germany, UAE, Russia and other countries by giving a lot of positive emotions to people. I live in Gdynia (Poland) and I find this city amazing because of combination of great people, charm atmosphere of the city and seaside and rich history that also brings a lot of emotions thru people living around, nice places, local cuisine and many other nice things.
‘Every painting is pure emotion reflected in combination of different colors’ – this is the concept that Dmitry Artyukhin is applying in his art. Emotional in this case doesn’t reflect the process how you create art work but rather transparency of transforming internal emotions into colors on canvas. Dmitry works on the way of removing any roadblocks and obstacles between his internal feelings and external interpretation of them. The ideal scenario would be to get easy going flow that just transforms intangible things in tangible objects. His strong believe is if we look at such things like music, art these should play a role of generator that just helps viewers to amplify their emotions and bring even more emotional context in their life. That’s why it’s so critical when you create your art work to be very open, crisp and clear and just reflect what you feel in a colorful palette. If we take analogy with generator that performs signal it means to avoid any noise so when someone gets your impulse it creates strong resonance and amplifies your reflection.
Another central idea of Dmitry’s works is about an attempt to trigger positive thinking and emotions even if these are about meditations and reflection of your history or stories. There are two main ideas behind that. First of all in a world of change and so dynamic environment we feel so much stress and negative emotions. That’s why the idea of sharing positive feelings and bringing something positive is so much critical. Supporting each other thru giving positive impulse, motivating viewers and giving them a chance to think is so much critical. Second, when you put art work at home you bring someone’s thinking, idea, emotion in your personal world. This is so much personal and sensitive so you need to be very careful. Literally it means an artist shares part of their heart and soul with you. And ideally that should be so much gentle so it doesn’t break central idea of you and your reflection of external world.
Dmitry is trying to take a snapshot of specific moments in his life when he feels something very positive about people, nature or different aspects of life. It’s always unique simply because there are no exactly the same situations or moments. It will be different every time with some new colors or emotions or simply some ingredients that combine and create art. It looks like making something very positive and sharing with others. That should be performed at maximum synergy between internal feelings and external environment that includes sounds, colors, emotional context etc. Only then it creates unique combination of colors and textures that works as a trigger to get wonderful experience, attract viewer’s attention and consider this art work as integral part of your life.
